I study how Southern Ocean water mass structure and upper-ocean processes shape Antarctic sea-ice variability and its response to climate change. Using large-scale observational datasets and satellite records, my work investigates how vertical stratification, heat pathways, and ocean–ice coupling regulate recent and emerging Antarctic climate trends.
