Arctic Frontiers Seminar Abroard

Arctic Biodiversity

Norwegian and German scientists discuss current state and research perspectives
[15. November 2016]

Norwegian and German scientists meet for a seminar in the "Haus der Wissenschaft" in Bremen for a seminar  on 16 November 2016. Together they are going to talk about Arctic biodiversity: Current state and research perspectives.

The Arctic is a complex region gaining increased attention. Climate change and modernization provide both enormous challenges and opportunities for the Arctic and its people. In this seminar scientists from Norway and Germans will focus on Arctic biodiversity, which is changing, perhaps irreversibly. Intense research and assessment document the impacts of human activities and climate change at regional and global scales, all pursuing the same goal, to discover ways to conserve the biological and cultural wealth of the Arctic. You can find further information in the seminar programme.
