Overview of Doctoral Project
I study shifts in primary productivity and phytoplankton community composition in the Arctic as a response to climate change driven transformations, with a focus on the effects of declining silicic acid availability. In my work I combine field and experimental research using traditional stable and radioisotope analysis as well as state of the art methods such as secondary ion mass spectrometry and imaging flow cytometry.
