Exhibition opening "Polar Experience"

The immersive exhibition "POLAR EXPERIENCE" opens at OBEX Oberhausen on 19 May and takes visitors on an impressive expedition into the fascinating world of the Arctic and Antarctic. The multimedia exhibition combines scientific findings with emotional storytelling, large-format 360° projections and interactive experience spaces.

Polar researcher and expedition leader Markus Rex from the Alfred Wegener Institute (AWI) will be one of the guests at the opening ceremony. Together with the AWI, the exhibition presents insights into current polar and climate research as well as special exhibits from everyday research. The exhibits include a skidoo, a Nansen sledge, a model of the research vessel "Polarstern" and an air measuring station. There is also the opportunity to try on original polar clothing on site.
