Research Journey 2026 at Klimahaus Bremerhaven

Why are heatwaves so difficult to predict? What happens when the ice in Antarctica melts? And what role does plastic waste play?

Klimahaus Bremerhaven invites visitors to a special research journey along the 8th meridian on 1 April 2026. Scientists from renowned research institutes will provide fascinating insights into current research topics related to climate, the environment and the Earth. Visitors will have the opportunity to speak directly with researchers, ask questions and experience science up close through illustrative materials and real research objects. 

Torbei Blei from the sea-ice physics group at the AWI will be taking part.
