Research interests

My research interests revolve around the ecology of Southern Hemisphere fin whales and their foraging behaviours at their feeding grounds of the Western Antarctic Peninsula. My research mainly focuses on drone-based methodologies, i.e. behavioral ecology (visual analysis of video recordings), photogrammetry (body measurements using aerial photography), aerial photo ID (identification of individuals using aerial photographs), to analyze population dynamics and investigate site fidelity at the Southern Ocean feeding grounds.
