Contributions to the Fifth International Polar Year 2032/2033

Berlin Science Week 2025

This year's Berlin Science Week will take place from 1 to 10 November throughout Berlin, bringing together renowned scientists, scientific institutions and the interested public. The ten-day international festival is organised by the Falling Walls Foundation and serves to promote innovative exchange and celebrate science.
Every year, outstanding organisations participate in Berlin Science Week, sharing their research and knowledge with the public through lectures, workshops, panel discussions, experiments, exhibitions and many other interactive and interdisciplinary formats. This year's programme is themed “BEYOND NOW”.

As part of Berlin Science Week, the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Berlin and the German Arctic Office at the Alfred Wegener Institute invite you to the Felleshus on 5 November from 3 to 6 p.m. The focus will be on preparations for the fifth International Polar Year 2032/33 and the cooperation between Norway and Germany to date. The aim is to highlight the polar regions as areas of peaceful and internationally coordinated research.
