As part of the lecture series of the Polytechnische Gesellschaft, Markus Rex, AWI scientist and head of the MOSAiC project, will speak about the dramatic changes taking place in the Arctic and the rapid decline of Arctic sea ice. He will also provide insights into the extreme conditions on board, as well as the organisation and findings of this unique expedition, during which the research icebreaker Polarstern drifted through the central Arctic for a full year, since October 2019.
In addition, Markus Rex will discuss the challenges this poses for international climate policy.

The lecture will take place in person and will also be streamed live on YouTube.                A registration is not required.
