Responsibilities

- Lead of the HPC & Data Processing group

- HPC & Data Processing support and consultation for AWI's HPC and external HPCs

- Support, consultation and development of workflows for Numerical Models in HPCs (e.g. ESM-Tools)

Research interests

I am a Scientific Programmer and Geoscientist with over a decade of experience in designing and developing innovative scientific applications and supporting numerical simulations in High Performance Computing systems. I have been the lead developer of a Finite Element software dedicated to the modelling of extensional tectonics and surface processes, and I have also participated of geophysical surveying and assisted it with processing applications. I have experience in teaching, training users, code maintenance and system administration. In the last years I have shifted into supporting other scientists in the use of High Performance Computing resources and workflows.
