This year, our paleoclimate dynamics team participated in the run organized by Klimahaus for the first time. Bolstered by the Climate Dynamics section, our 13-member team "AWI-Klima" was one of the most diverse at the start : 7 men, 8 women, six nationalities, and a 35-year age difference! In our inaugural participation, our team performed admirably (12th place out of 26 particupants), spurred on by the cheers of spectators, friends, and cheerleaders. This athletic endeavor provided an opportunity to forge valuable connections among colleagues, step out of our comfort zones, and strengthen our bonds as a team. The Klimahaus Run was also a chance to engage in the social life of the city of Bremerhaven beyond the realm of science.
