"INTO THE ICE-The MOSAiC expedition in pictures" is the title of the photo exhibition with images taken by six different photographers (Esther Horvath, Lianna Nixon, Steffen Graupner, Jan Rohde, Mario Hoppmann, Michael Gutsche), who accompanied the MOSAiC expedition on various sections of the journey.

Frozen in the Arctic sea ice, scientists from 17 nations spent a year exploring the epicentre of climate change with the research icebreaker Polarstern.

The images provide an insight into the research work and the construction of the research city on the floe. They provide an insight into the everyday life of the teams and life on board. This is a co-operative exhibition with the German Maritime Museum in Bremerhaven, Leibniz Institute of Maritime History.
