Please note:
The program Ocean Sneaker's Tool is delivered to you 'as is'. It can be distributed free of charge for non-commercial scientific and civil use, as long as the program and the documentation are distributed together. In any other case please contact me.
I am not responsible for any erroneous data, incorrect results, non reliable charts, wrong location coordinates or anything else that is related or has been generated using this program. It is strongly recommended that you verify your data, station positions and results produced with Ocean Sneaker's Tool
I tried to assess most problems that can occur during normal data processing or converting longitude/latitude coordinates. But I can not guarantee that everything works as expected. Most of the problems related to different regional preferences in your operating system (like comma or period as decimal separators) are handled.
OST was tested on Win 98/2K/XP systems and works properly on all machines tested so far. Even runs with Windows-emulators on Mac and Linux machines showed stable and reliable performance.
By using OST you accept these terms of usage, further described in the manual.

The source code of the program is freely available from this address too. It is completely written in Borland Delphi 7. No information about compiling on Lazarus and other IDE's are available. As OST tries to avoid using Windows specific functions it should be possible to compile on other systems if the TChart components are available.
The source can be used for developing own extensions or program refinements. Extensions or refinements that could be interesting for other scientists should be returned -well documented- to the source. When returned I will include your developments within the next version and place it at public disposal via this website.
The source files will sometimes be slightly different and enhanced in opposite to the executable file. The additionally TChart components used in OST can be downloaded as a free trial from www.steema.com.
For further developments it is necessary to get feedback about features to be improved. It is the only way to keep software free of charge and reliable simultaneously. Requests and/or error reports should be addressed to: Jan Schulz
