Welcome to the pages dedicated to PhD students at the Alfred Wegener Institut (AWI).
Currently we have about 230 PhD students working at the AWI.
Every year we organise PhD Days in different place to gathering all the PhD students in AWI. During the PhD Days we have presentations or posters from every participant. They present a good opportunity to see what others are doing for their PhDs and also discuss your own ideas. In 2008 we had the PhD Days in Bremerhaven, in 2009 on Sylt, in 2010 in Potsdam, and in 2011 on Helgoland. In 2012 we are going to organise them on Sylt.
The PhD students are represented by the yearly elected Dokteam. If you have questions, feel free to contact us (see contact information on the right).
