Streamer

To record reflection seismic signals we use different seismic streamers. Streamers are cables filled with hydrophones. Normally, we use our 3000 m long digital streamer with 240 channels (hydrophone groups). Since we are often at sea in ice-covered areas and sea-ice poses risk to streamers (damage or even loss), we then use our analogue streamer with up to 600 m lenght and 96 channels. The length is then adjusted accordingly to sea-ice conditions. Furthermore, we own a 100 m long high-resolution streamer that is also suitable for ice conditions. In addition, for work on small vessels or boats mainly in lakes we use a 150 m long portable streamer with 24 channels.
