Development of in situ sampling and analytical equipment

We develop new and optimize established methods and instruments for in-situ applications. In-situ sensors provide a high temporal and spatial data density for the sophisticated detection and quantification of biogeochemical relevant parameters in sediments, at the sediment-water-transition zone, as well as in the water column. Additionally, we apply in-situ water sampling systems for the on-board analyses of e.g., nutrients to achieve a more comprehensive view on regional biogeochemical processes.
