See what PALAOA sees

A webcam is installed high above, on a mast of the PALAO station. This means it is not only possible to hear, but also to see what is going on in the Antarctic. Hardly a ray of sunshine penetrates the all-enveloping darkness during the Antarctic winter, between May and July. As a consequence, the webcam mainly shows black images at that time. The pictures in the Antarctic summer are all the more impressive, the sky often shows a blaze of colour and thus forms a fantastic contrast to ice and snow.
