Fish monitoring in the Sylt-Römö Bay - traveling with the research vessel Mya II

To mark the 100th anniversary of the Wadden Sea Station on Sylt, an interesting series of lectures has been organised to provide you with exciting information about the site and our work on the island.

In July, you will learn more about the connection between the Wadden Sea and the fish stocks there. The Wadden Sea is extremely important for fish in terms of foraging, protection from predators and for rearing offspring. In order to better understand these processes, monthly fish monitoring has been carried out in Sylt-Römö Bay for over 15 years. What does it look like on a research vessel? How does such monitoring work? What are the findings?

Come along on a trip with the Mya II and gain an insight into research at the Alfred Wegener Institute.

The lecture will be given by Timm Kress.
