Team Leader Macroalgae Aquaculture - macroalgae cultivation, optimization, and scale-up to produce biomass for plastic-free fast food packaging within the Mak-Pak Scale-Up project, sustainable use of marine macroalgae

Research interests

My interests are in all things seaweed: ecophysiology, ocean acidification, global warming, cultivation, valorization, optimization of functionality, aquaculture, biofilters, and the beautiful rhodolith beds that occur all over the world.

Member of the EU Eklipse Expert Working Group: What is the state of knowledge regarding the potential of macro-algae culture in providing climate-related and other ecosystem services, focusing on knowledge gaps? (CfE.9/2020)
