I currently work at the Department of Marine Geology and Paleontology, Alfred Wegener Institute Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research. My research interests lies in Geology, Oceanography and Paleoclimatology.
The current focus of my project is 'Deglacial-Holocene variability in sea ice formation, melt-water discharge, primary productivity and abrupt climate change in Baffin Bay and West Greenland.'.I use specific biomarkers indicative for sea ice (IP25, PIP25), primary production and terrigenous input (n-alkanes, sterols, alkenones) as well as compound-specific stable isotopes (dD of algae) as proxy for meltwater discharge.
PACES II 1: Changes and regional feedbacks in Arctic and Antarctic
