PERPLEX
Software for die expedition planning
PERPLEX is a software package to plan ship expeditions and ship times efficiently. The software tool has been developed at AWI and has been improved during countless research cruises of RV Polarstern.
PERPLEX has been developed for scientists as well as nautical and logistical personnel to optimise cruise planning and and align tracks with water depths, EEZ's, and other important information.
PERPLEX has been developed in co-operation with Werum Software & Systems AG. The present version PERPLEX-V5 can be obtained as freeware from AWI for non-commercial use. A future publication as open source is presently checked.
