Research interests

My overarching scientific goal is to improve the understanding of polar atmospheric processes in the global context. I combine innovative measurement strategies from airborne platforms and research vessels during field campaigns with the development of process models that feed into improving the representation of these processes in regional to global scale climate models. My current main focus is on the interactions between aerosols, clouds and atmospheric composition with atmospheric dynamics and in particular how these interactions affect polar climate.
