Tundra NP Soil Station
Tundra NP soil station with Scheteligfjellet
Our Tundra NP soil station is located at the border of Ny-Ålesund behind the Norwegian Polarinstitute (NP), allowing us to connect to the town's electrical network. Collected data is stored on a storage module as well as on a local PC inside the Blue House of the Koldewey Station, connected via a fiberglass cable.
Components of the soil station include:
- Snow moisture sensor
- 32 temperature and 32 soil moisture probes in different vertical profiles
