Polygon Lake Station

Bird's eye view of the Polygon Lake Station
In Summer 2006 we've installed a new gaging station in a half overgrown polygon lake.
Measurements in the open part of the lake as well as the overgrown part include:
- Water level
- Snow height
- Temperature in different heigts over water level
- Temperature in different depth under water level
- Radiation
and in different shore parts
- Soil moisture
- Snow moisture
- Soil temperature
Power is provided by a solar panel and two batteries and collected data is stored on a datalogger.
