Location of Bremerhaven
Bremerhaven is located in the Northern Part of Germany right at the mouth of river Weser.
By Air:
Nearest airports are Bremen (connections to London, Frankfurt, Munich, Amsterdam, etc.), Hamburg, and Hannover.
From there take a train to Bremerhaven.
By train:
Bremerhaven train station is connected to Bremen at least hourly during daytime. The ride takes between 35 and 55 Minutes depending on the train (Regionalexpress RE is faster than Regionalbahn RB). For train schedules and tickets, look at www.bahn.de.
By car:
Drive to Bremen, then take A27 to Bremerhaven. It takes approx. 45 Minutes by car from Bremen to Bremerhaven.

Location of Workshop:
The workshop will take place in Historical Museum Bremerhaven (Morgenstern Museum).

Hotel Information
We have reserved a number of rooms for a special rate of 69 EUR (regular single room) in
within walking distance from the conference location and AWI. If you want to make hotel reservations yourself, please indicate that you are participant of the Tsunami Workshop at Alfred Wegener Institute. We are happy to make reservations on your behalf.
