This workshop is intended to foster exchange of ideas and results in current tsunami modeling technology. Several new approaches and groups have appeared in the tsunami modeling community after the December 2004 Sumatra Tsunami. Quite some funding has been generated, new ideas have appeared, and many research activities have been started. So, it seems to be time to provide a forum for researchers to take a first intermediate review of what has been achieved so far. It is intended to spend a lot of time on hands on discussions rather than on lengthy presentations.
