Work package CO1: Coastal Change: Long-term Trends and Extreme Events
The aim of this WP is to document past and ongoing change in order to increase our capabilities to propose, construct, and assess scenarios for the changing coastal system in the North Sea region with perspectives in other anthropogenically transformed coasts in the world. We combine the expertise of GKSS, mainly on modelling physical and ecological aspects and in socio-economy, with the expertise in the AWI, particularly on biological and ecological aspects of coastal change.
