PostDocs and PhD students
Postgraduates and graduats are actively involved in our section's research programme. They contribute to the Helmholtz research programme PACES as well as to projects funded by third parties, such as the EU or the German ministry for education and research BMBF.
Internships
Ambitious students of mathematics, physics or meteorology may apply for an internship in our section. Several sutdents per year perform optional or mandatory interships with us.
One of the 2011 intership fellows was Lindsey Heagy from the University of Alberta. During her stay with AWI she worked on a Finite Element Model of the Antarctic Circumpolar Current South of Africa
