Quantifying the carbon budget in Northern Russia: past, present and future (CARBO-North)

The EU project CARBO-North aims in the carbon budget in Northern Russia across temporal and spatial scales. Transient responses of the ecosystem are of great importance from a policy perspective. How quick will the treeline migrate? How quickly will permafrost thaw? Regional climate model will provide input to ecosystem studies.
