High-Volume Aerosol Sampler

High Volume Aerosol Sampler

High Volume Aerosol Sampler

Purpose of Participation

  • Aerosol sampling for subsequent chemical characterization of aerosol particles by ICP-MS and ICP-OES
  • Ground based measurements in connection with airborne activities

Instrument description

High-Volume Aerosol Sampler with single stage impactor, cut-off diameter 2.0 µm
In order to obtain significant information regarding the source of aerosols and transport mechanisms the installed device allows an event induced changing of filters. The sampler was especially designed for low temperature applications and is equipped with a high-volume-pump and an automatic filter changer for 30 filters or with 15 single stage impactors for size separated aerosol sampling.

Species Aerosol particles (> 2 µm) and (< 2 µm), Trace elements for different sources
