Multidisciplinary study on the impact of storms on the Sylt/Rømø Wadden Sea
A working group on the impact of storms in our area is presently being formed. This group will perform on-site measurements of various meteorologic and oceanographic parameters in combination with measurements of the direct impact of wind and water force on biota and sediments of the Wadden Sea.
Not exactly what we expect in our area. However, till we have our own data enjoy this: This is the oldest known photo of a tornado. It was taken on August 28, 1884 near Howard, South Dakota (provided by NOAA).
