The Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research holds a comprehensive video archiv covering most fields of its main research topics. Most of the material was filmed by researchers on expediton.

The videos are predominantly available as dv format 4:3. In the near future, more and more material will also be available as widescreen HDV.
