Ageladine A
Recent research focuses on the role of dysregulated pH for cancer progression and monitoring of intracellular organelles like endosomes and lysosomes. pH indicators are widely used in cell biology applications. Ageladine A, a new natural product from a marine sponge, overcomes some limitations and disadvantages of known pH sensitive fluorescent dyes making it an excellent new tool for life sciences applications
High membrane permeability: 15 minutes incubation time for cells
Wide range from pH 4 – pH 9
All experiments can be done with standard laboratory equipment
Stable and non toxic even after several days of incubation
Slow photobleaching
Applications: Fluorescence microscopy (living cells, tissues, small animals), frozen sections. Flow cytometry: (not tested yet)
