Guests scientists and training courses at the AWI - island stations on Helgoland (BAH: Shelf Sea Ecology) and Sylt (Wadden Sea Station Sylt: Coastal Ecology)
Guest scientists from Germany and from abroad are very welcome at the island stations of Helgoland (BAH) and Sylt. Visiting scientists will be supplied with laboratory space. Moreover, they can use the libraries, the research vessels and the equipment available at the stations. Accommodation for visiting scientists is available in our guesthouses. Local teams on Helgoland and Sylt will take care and support or guests.

Student courses: For the promotion of students and young scientists, BAH and the Wadden Sea Station Sylt organise training courses in the area of coastal research. These courses are either organised by members of the island stations or independently by lecturers affiliated with different universities. Participants of these courses are housed in our student accommodation.

The organisation of workshops, meetings and conferences of the adjoining scientific area are welcome. Participants can use class- and meeting rooms, as well as accommodation belonging to the institute. More information is available from Dr. A. Kraberg (Helgoland) and Dr. R. Asmus (Sylt).
