The Library of the Friedrich Hustedt Diatom Centre

The specialised diatom research library of the Friedrich Hustedt Fellowship is administered by the central AWI library and is located at AWI, Building A, Am Handelshafen 12, D-27570 Bremerhaven.

This is a specialised reference library. It may be accessed by prior arrangement with Mrs. F. Hinz (Tel.: +49 471 4831 1538).

This specialised library used to form part of the private library of Friedrich Hustedt and has since been supplemented with all important publications on diatom research. The collection comprises more than 6.500 publications, of which approx. two thirds are offprints. The principal focus of the literature concerns the taxonomy and morphology of diatoms.
