Terms of Use
RERPLEX-V4 is protected by copyright. A free version with full functionality is, however, provided by the Alfred Wegener Institute (AWI) for testing purposes of the user. During the period of free testing, users can contact Gerd Rohardt (gerd.rohardt(at)awi.de) for help and information. However, there is no right to claim support during this time.
If users wish to continue working with PERPLEX® after 12 months of free testing, users are kindly requested to register (via gerd.rohardt(at)awi.de). The license fee will be used to settle costs for administration and work on further improvements.
The AWI offers the following license options for the use of the PERPLEX® software at your company or institution. (Prices valid for 2010 subject to modifications and amendments)
| Single License | EURO 250,- | The "Single License" entitles you to install PERPLEX® on one computer |
| Site License | EURO 900,- | The "Site License" allows PERPLEX® installation on an unlimited number of computers at one company or institution. This does not include installation on computers on board of vessels belonging to this company or institution; see "Ship License". |
| Ship License | EURO 100,- | A "Ship License" allows PERPLEX® installation on an unlimited number of computers which are stationary installed on board of one vessel. |
| Fleet License | EURO 500,- | A "Fleet License" allows PERPLEX® installations on an unlimited number of computers which are stationary installed on board of all ships belonging to one company or institution. |
| Site & Fleet License | EURO 1200,- | A "Site & Fleet License" combines site and fleet license conditions. |
To obtain the license, please send an e-mail to Gerd.Rohardt@awi.de. Please indicate the type of license you wish to order and specify the full name and postal address of the institution or company which the license is intended for. For Ship-, Fleet, or Ship & Fleet Licenses please indicate vessel names. Upon payment of the invoice, the license will be issued by AWI.
Licenses can be upgraded under consideration of fees paid for earlier versions.
Users having purchased the full version PERPLEX V3.0 from WERUM will be upgraded to "Site & Fleet License" without additional charge.
