Projects with children and young people on Helgoland

The Biological Institute Helgoland (BAH) organises several projects in the domain of science to promote young researchers. Therefore the BAH is working together with the kindergarden and the James-Krüss-Schule of Helgoland.

These projects cover different scientific topics, whereby the children and young people get an idea about the work of scientists.

The young children of the kindergarden can find solutions to scientifical questions by experimentation.

The pupils of the 4th grade have the chance to do a water project together with their teachers and the scientists of the BAH.

The students of the 9th and 10th grades of secondary school can choose a compulsory optional subject with a scientific issue offered by the BAH.
