Scientists at AWI are committed to archive and share their scientific accomplishments in the form of publications. The long-term archival and availability of these items are guaranteed by the Computer Centre of Alfred Wegener Institute using ePIC (electronic Publication Information Centre) as repository system. OAI-PMH and Web Services
In the context of the Open Archives Inititative, ePIC is an OAI-PMH compliant data provider offering metadata expressed in qualified dublin-core format for all archived items, and, when available, links to full text and related primary data. ePIC items are also exposed via web services. Because ePIC uses FEDORA as backend, ePIC records are also exposed via SOAP/REST web services.
