Potentials for open ocean aquaculture in the North Sea region

Mariculture Sites and Other Uses in the Western Part of the German Bight
My diploma thesis generally deals with the current situation of aquaculture development in the North Sea Region in the context of decline of wild fish stocks and increase of consumer demand for seafood products. In particular I try to examine the potentials for open ocean aquaculture regarding to multiple use and adverse natural conditions for marine aquaculture in the North Sea (see also GIS German Bight Project).
