Ocean optics in the polar seas - recent results

Despite problems in the precise interpretation of optical remote sensing data at high latitudes, the famed SeaWiFS and MODIS have proven their worth. This talk will present some recent results concerning long-term carbon sequestration, the impact of icebergs on phytoplankton and biogeochemical cycling. Come along for some controversial, interdisciplinary debate!
