Summary of action plan:
1) The working groups were newly defined and responsibilities for each were fixed. The new devision was made on the basis of organisms each including aspects of ecology, culture, analysis, modelling and application:
Coccolithophorid WG: Stefan Schouten
Foram WG: Frans Jorissen and Geert-Jan Brummer
Bivalves WG: Frank Dehairs
In addition, we decided to keep the: Analytical WG: Gert-Jan Reichart Culturing WG: Delphine Dissard and Emmanuelle Geslin There will not be a specific modeling WG but we will try to team up with BioCalc for that.
2) The next annual meeting is scheduled for June 3-5 in Barcelona
3) With regards to publications funded by this project the acknowledgement sentence could be as follows:
Acknowledgements. This work was supported by the German research foundation (DFG) under grant no. BI 432/4-2 (“PaleoSalt”), and by the European Science Foundation (ESF) under the EUROCORES Programme EuroCLIMATE through contract No. ERAS-CT-2003-980409 of the European Commission, DG Research, FP6.
The first should be of course YOUR national science foundation.
