Research Themes

Scientific and technical competence of our section Bentho-Pelagic Processes is organised in research groups with particular expertise and skills. These groups are integrated in interdisciplinary research programs at national and international level. Research themes outline scientific approaches and projects within the research program. The images below lead to the respective research themes as outlined on the left frame.

The primary framework of our activities is the research program “Polar regions and Coasts in a changing Earth System” (PACES) which is part of the research field “Earth and Environment” of the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centres (HGF). We participate in the PACES topics:

• Topic 2: "Coastal Change"
